In power transmission and distribution systems, low-voltage Power Cable Compound are key components that connect power sources and loads, and their performance directly affects the stability and efficiency of the power system. As the core part of the cable, the selection of conductor materials is even more crucial. Among the many conductor materials, copper and aluminum have become the two most common choices for low-voltage power cable materials due to their unique performance characteristics.

Wide application of copper conductors
Copper, as an excellent conductive material, has played an important role in the field of power transmission since ancient times. In low-voltage Power Cable Compound, copper conductors are favored for their excellent conductivity. The low resistivity of copper means that copper conductors can carry more current under the same cross-sectional area and reduce losses during power transmission. In a market environment where raw material prices fluctuate greatly, choosing aluminum conductors can effectively reduce the production cost of cables and provide a more economical solution for power construction.

Secondly, aluminum conductors are light in weight, which is particularly important in situations where cables need to be laid over long distances. Lightweight aluminum conductors can reduce the overall weight of the cable and reduce the difficulty and cost during transportation and installation. At the same time, lighter cables also mean lower requirements for supporting structures, which is conducive to reducing investment in infrastructure construction.

However, it is worth noting that the conductivity of aluminum conductors is slightly inferior to that of copper conductors. Copper conductors are the first choice in most cases due to their excellent conductivity and good welding performance; while aluminum conductors show unique advantages in some specific occasions due to their lower cost and lighter weight. In practical applications, cost, performance, safety and other factors should be comprehensively considered to select the most suitable conductor material to ensure the reliability and economy of power transmission.
